Montessori Fun Home Preschool fosters independence, confidence, critical thinking abilities, and creativity in a warm and welcoming environment. With only 12 children per day, we really get to know each child, and the children and their families form lasting friendships. Our hands-on, ‘whole child’ approach supports each student’s unique qualities and individual learning style for a learning experience that’s compelling, effective, and fun!

Welcome to Montessori Fun! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us! Our goals are for your child to love school and learning, and to provide language development, confidence, and social and academic skills to provide a solid, joyful foundation for their educational future. We enjoy offering a rich environment for the children to learn, grow, play, and make friends. We welcome you to take a tour and learn about what we offer to our students.
After 30 years of teaching this age group, I still sincerely love my job. I love teaching and helping families during this special time of early childhood when the family is transitioning from having a baby to a young child. Each child is different, and all have their strengths and challenges. we are happy to help and support you as you do the most challenging and rewarding job of your life- being a parent.

Our Teachers
We have the consistency of the same nurturing teachers every day. Diane and Kristin are both experienced teachers, are current in first aid and CPR, are vaccinated, and are also Moms so we understand how rewarding and challenging parenting can be!
Diane Rose
I am Diane Rose and I am the owner and teacher of Montessori Fun. I established this program with a few Montessori activities in my living room, and my own children when they were toddlers! I have a California Teachers Credential (emphasis in early childhood) and a Montessori Teachers Training Certificate, have 30 years of experience working with preschoolers and toddlers. I am blessed to have Kristin and Ashley here with me, they are wonderful with the children; truly patient and kind and we all work well together. I have three grown children, and now I have two grandbabies! I teach Spanish as part of the daily curriculum and love teaching the language joyously with song, dance, stories, and fingerplays. Each child is different and it is truly a pleasure to get to know every individual. We do our best to give them the foundation for their education: love for learning, successful social skills, and positive self-esteem. I am so lucky to have a job I love!
Tambien, hablo Espanol y puedo ayudar a los ninos quien no hablen engles para que esten listos para Kinder en una escueala de immersion o cualquier kinder en Engles, y hacer amistades con ninos que no hablen espanol. Y ademas, creo es muy important ser orgulloso de ser bilingue!
Kristin Ohlson
Kristin co-teaches with Diane. She lives in Healdsburg with her husband and two young girls. She has over 15 years of preschool experience and over 36 units of ECE. She loves hiking, camping, and cooking. What she loves most about teaching preschool children is being able to nurture each individual child and watch them grow.
We all look forward to working with your child and sharing in the fun of learning new things.
Ashley Amador
Ashley Amador is our assistant teacher and helps with everything! She is a student at SRJC. Ashley joined us in 2022 and has grown so much already as a teacher showing warmth, kindness and patience. Ashley is also bilingual in English and Spanish.
